No. You may feel little prickles to begin with but as your skin strength improves you won’t feel anything.

No. You do need to avoid rolling over spots/blemishes or any kind of open wound/lesion as you would want to avoid spreading infection. You can still roll the area if there are just one or a few spots to avoid. You just have to avoid those particular spots. However rolling over an area that is healing will encourage faster and more healthy healing. Please check with your dermatologist or doctor if you have any suspicious lesions before rolling.

Collagen Induction Therapy will help to improve the texture, strength and health of your skin. To treat scarring you would need to work the health of your skin towards Microneedling treatments. Please book in for a Skin Analysis first.

Collagen Induction Therapy works with your own body and will kick start the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen Induction Therapy can commence on the onset or before fine lines take hold. So use as a preventative measure ideally from the age of 28 onward.

  • Crow’s feet / laughter lines

This is often where wrinkles and fine lines show first. Small wrinkles spread outwards from your outer-eye after years of smiling and concentrating.

  • Lipstick lines

Delicate areas around the lips form expression lines, causing lipstick “bleeding” and uneven contours.

  • Deeper expression lines

Untreated fine lines and wrinkles will develop into deeper expression lines such as “frown lines” on your forehead (known as Glabellar lines).

  • Sagging skin

The natural age process, free radical damage and non active skincare regime may lead to saggy skin – areas often neglected such as the neck, decolloté and skin surrounding the ears are often tell-tale areas of aging skin.

  • Uneven skin tone

A natural sign of aging can be uneven skin tone, particularly for those who expose their skin regularly to the elements. Sun Damage and pigmentation is a leading indication for those seeking a natural way to delay the appearance of ageing.

Collagen Induction Therapy stimulates the pigmentation cells into a repair and corrective process encouraging an even skin tone and creating a radiant appearance.

No. We encourage people who use CIT at home to be very light and to remove the device from the skin when then change direction of rolling. It is important to let your Skin Treatment Therapist know if you are on any medication and if you suffer from Haemophilia, Hepatitis, HIV, AIDS, any immune disorders or any other blood infections.

Because your CIT roller isn’t piercing the skin to the point of plasma, then a simple sterilisation once a week and a rinse before and after use in hot water is all that is required. It is important to use the ‘Cleaning Solution’ provided to take care of your home roller as other preparations can corrode or insufficiently sterilise your device leading to skin problems. It is also important to house your device in the container provided dry so that water and bacteria cannot manifest.

Please avoid sun exposure, excessive heat, polluted environments, touching your skin, dirt and skin care products that have not been recommended by your skinfocus Skin Therapist.
